Model Details

Ideal for studio applications where robust high-definition is the ultimate goal, Sony's HDW-500 HDCAM Studio VTR will accept both 1920 x 1080 and 1920x 1035 video standards. The VTR will operate in record and/or playback at either 59.94 Hz or 60 Hz field rates, and can be synchronized with the525-line black burst signal (59.94 Hz). It features 4 channels of AES/EBU digital audio. The unit's also equipped with dynamic tracking providing broadcast quality playback over the range -1 to +2x Playspeed.

* HKDV503 Video Remote Control for the HDW-500 
   Video remote controller for HDW-500. Permits separate control of the HD, D-1 and D-2 outputs. Also enables the control of various image enhancement features. Multiple memory addresses enable a number of settings to be saved.

* HKDV505 Pre-Read Edit Confidence Board 
   HKDV-505 Pre-read Edit Confidence Board. Board contains a second playback signal system. Allows VTR to decode the O/P of the Video Confidence heads when the VTR is in Pre-read and the main Playback Signal system is decoding the O/P of the advance head. Option is unique to the HDW-500.

* HKDV501 525 Down Converter HDW-500 Option Board 
   525 Downconverter-HDW-500 internal option board. High quality downconverter that provides either a 4:2:2 or a digital composite output.

* HKDV502 HD Line Converter Board 
   Converts 1035 line video to 1080 line video or 1080 line video to 1035 line video. Improves picture quality for slow motion playback.

* HKDV506 SDTI Interface Board Option for HDW-500 
   HKDV-506 SDTI Interface Option Board. Packages compressed video data plus 4 uncompressed channels of audio data using SDTI at 270 Mbps. Used to move data between machines without decompression and recompression. Allows dubbing and cuts only editing to be made without generation loss. Can be used with conventional SDTV routers.
