Compact A/B Roll Edit Controller. 1-piece, compact A/B roll edit controller with external video switcher and audio mixer control. Maintains RM-450 style operation with additional control functions. Controls up to 3 VTRs (2 players, 1 recorder) and 3 Aux sources. Performs DT editing with DT equipped VTRs. Controls Sony DFS-500, BVS-3000 and GVG-100/110 video switchers with access to snapshot/E-File data. Controls parallel VSP-A600, MXP-290, and MXP-P390 audio mixers. Also controls MXP-S390 and other ESAM II compatible serial audio mixers. 99 edit event memory. Includes RS-232 port for loading and dumping EDLs to external IBM PCs via EdlExpress list management software. 1 GPI output for triggering external devices. \

• Editing Functions The PVE-500 enables Assemble and Insert (V, A1, A2) edit modes and provides editing functions such as IN-POINT/OUT-POINT entry, PREVIEW, TRIM, AUTO EDIT/END, REVIEW/JUMP, GO TO, AUDIO SPLIT, LAST EDIT and MULTI EDIT.
• 99 Edit Memory Capacity Editing data for 99 edits can be stored in the built-in EDL memory system. It is possible to execute not only a single edit but continuous automatic editing of a pre-defined number of edits.
• Audio Split Edit The PVE-500 provides an AUDIO SPLIT capability, which allows the audio edit in-point to be set separately from the video edit in-point. This function allows effective editing of sound effects or background music.
• Switcher Interface Sophisticated A/B-roll picture transitions, using a video switcher, can be executed via the 9-pin RS-422 connector provided for serial switcher control. Basic switcher functions such as crosspoint assignment and transition duration/start can be controlled
• Pinch on Delay Time Learning Capability The PVE-500 detects the differences between the pinch on delay times of the player and recorder and store them in the memory using the LEARN function. This enables the PVE-500 to change the play command timing of one of VTRs to adjust the timing of the ed
• Self Diagnosis The PVE-500 has a built-in self-diagnostic function for trouble shooting and easy maintenance.
• Audio Mixer Interface The PVE-500 can remotely control an audio mixer allowing audio-follow-video editing. Both serial and parallel mixer interfaces are provided. Basic mixer functions such as transition duration/start are controllable.
