The JVC BR-DH50U is designed to transfer video and audio data to a non-linear editing system. This tape deck is optimized for use with a wide variety of existing systems and formats.It features switchable HDV and DV modes and can be connected directly to a plasma or LCD TV monitor equipped with an HDMI connector.

• Multi-format Output/Cross-Converter
The switchable HDV/DV recording modes and DVCAM playback, allow this deck to be used with existing editing systems.A sophisticated cross-converter enables this unit to output not only 720p signals, but also 1080i, 480/576p and 480/576i signals.

The BR-HD50U can switch between HDV 60 Hz or 50 Hz base as required.This makes it easy to work with internationally sourced material and transfer it to a non-linear system for editing and then archiving to tape.The tape mechanism accommodates both Standard DV and Mini DV format cassettes without any adapter in either HDV 60 Hz or 50 Hz base format..

• Digital Outputs
The deck has a FireWire connection that will output standard and high definition video and a universal NLE interface. An HDMI connector can be used for connecting to a HD projector or flat-screen monitor.

• Analog Connections
In addition to FireWire digital output, the BR-HD50 is equipped for analog component video output using 3-BNC connectors for HD and SD, as well as Y/C and composite input/output connectors for standard definition video
