Microfiche is the generic term applied to any microform storage format that measures around 6x4. Each Microfiche contains A4 and A3 images at 24 times reduction, which in the past made for a convenient way to store many documents in one small location. Presently though the technology needed to view and use this media is now defunct and to make matters worse the films likelihood of deterioration grows with each year and with every use.

At Alteran we have have the ability to bulk scan your Microfiche documents which are then converted into high quality TIFF or PDF files. This allows you to completely rejuvenate your archive of Microfiche and make them immediately sharable within your business or social media.

OCR ( Optical Character Recognition) and indexing is available.
