benfits_interchagne
Interchange Content on Cache-A Tapes
Cache-A tapes have a directory on each tape so they are “self-describing” letting any Cache-A system see what is on any Cache-A tape
Cache-A always makes non-proprietary, portable tapes that can be read anywhere:
Cache-A tapes can be written with standard “tar” format and your data can be restored by anyone with an appropriate generation LTO drive anywhere
Cache-A LTO-5 and LTO-6 systems can also read and write in LTFS (linear tape file system) which is becoming the standard for media interchange and allows full file system viewing and access interchange with any other LTFS equipped system from any vendor or open-source installation
Cache-A systems can conform tapes to a variety of emerging standards including being able to deliver in all 3 Discovery Channel formats
Cache-A provides the most integrated networked archiving solutions
