It provides up to up to 300 Mbps of bandwidth for file transfers and base band I/O operations. Equipped with Dual Channel Head System, the unit provides high-speed read-out and quad layer disc (128 GB) support. In addition, it also supports single-layer (23 GB) and dual-layer (50 GB) discs.

Using HD422 50 Mbps recording, the XDS-PD2000 Professional Media Station supports 1920 x 1080 and 1280 x 720 resolutions, and uncompressed 8-channel 24-bit /48 kHz linear PCM audio. It also supports all XDCAM and XDCAM EX file formats, codecs and metadata and protocols such as VDCP, FTP and CIFS. The media station is compatible with HD and SD signals, and offers up/down and cross-conversion system for operational flexibility

Offering up to 4 clients for file transfer and 4 clients for network control, the XDS-PD2000 Professional Media Station ensures high-speed file transfers and multiple file access over the network. The unit allows you to access a newly created file while it is being recorded. In addition, it allows you to edit the file and transfer it to other servers.

In live recording, the user can access the updated file and transfer it to other servers (Stream Chase). With RAID-4 system, the XDS-PD2000 Professional Media Station offers uninterrupted operation even when the HDD fails.

The front panel buttons allow you to individually control the Professional Disc drive, SxS memory card slots and internal storage. In case of network problems, you can play out a video program from the Professional Disc media directly, via front panel operation in local mode. A Jog/Shuttle dial ensures smooth motion picture. Equipped with a traditional VTR-like user interface, the XDS-PD2000 Professional Media Station is easy to use, configure and integrate into the overall workflow.

The XDCAM Professional Media Station offers fast start-up and safe shut-down. You can remotely control the unit via Ethernet using the XDCAM Browser. Features:

Supports all XDCAM storage formats

The XDS-PD2000 brings the XDCAM Professional Disc optical memory and XDCAM EX SxS solid state memory workflows together in a powerful 'bridge" solution. The XDS-PD2000 supports all XDCAM and XDCAM EX file formats, codecs and metadata, effectively offering complete format transparency. It also supports industry-standard VDCP, ftp and CIFS protocols.

  • Supports 4th generation 4G Professional Disc drive and Quad Layer discs

The XDS-PD2000 supports the new high-speed DCHS optical drive. It handles the Dual Layer disc (PFD50DLA), Single Layer disc (PFD23A) and Quad Layer disc (PFD128QLW). Handles SxS Pro, SxS-1 and card adaptors for memory sticks and SDHCs. The 4G drive and Quad Layer discs offer larger storage volumes and higher access speeds. They are ideal for archiving large quantities of material.

  • Multi-tasking internal storage operations

The 512GB Solid State Drive (SSD) internal storage is capable of multi-tasking when carrying out certain tasks. This increases interoperability and overall efficiency when working with Network Production systems.

  • Familiar VTR-like user interface

The layout of controls on the XDS deck follows industry-standard conventions already familiar to most users. This makes it easy to use, configure and integrate into the overall workflow.

  • Enhances network functionality

The XDS-PD2000 allows users to access growing volumes of files from non-linear editors without file transfer, offering high-speed file transfer and multiple access via a network. The XDS-PD2000 offers 8 clients for file transfer and 8 clients for network control.

  • SD / HD cross-conversion

The XDS-PD2000 supports SD and HD as standard with up-conversion record, and up/down/cross-conversion playback.
