Model Details

FR6802+DM is a 2RU 6800+ frame with 10 Slot and 100 BNC Metrol Connector. The 6800+ Frame houses and powers the current 6800 family modules and enable a new generation of 6800+ style products. This frame allows genlocking, remote control, higher product and power capacity. The 6800+ Frame accommodates the entire 6800 line of Analog and Digital Audio/ Video products for conversion, distribution, interface, generator and router applications. In addition, the 6800+ frame will enable a generation of 6800+ family products to be built, expanding the product envelope to include virtually any application in the modular arena.

Features:

• Holds 10 of any combination of existing 6800 series modules
• Holds up to 20 single slots cards or 10 double slot cards or any combination of the two totaling 20 single slots (except where a double slot module is installed into an even-numbered single slot which would span an internal stiffening divider.)
• Modules are hot-swappable through the front panel
• Capable of handling HD, SDI and other (non-BNC) interface (mass term, audio, fiber, RJ, etc..)
• Light weight for transport applications
• Video Genlock loop, high-performance passive loop-through is provided
• Rear support extension rail and cable strain relief/tie-down options available
• The frame can house two (redundant) power supplies
• Single PSU can support entire frame load
• Captive Power cord is available

• Capability of supporting 6 watts per slot, for all 20 slots, totaling 120W for the frame. Fan and frame support power are supplementary
• Integral fan cooling; front to back primary airflow designed to support full load at 50C ambient, with no thermal stacking limitations
• Frame status monitoring and integration of frame services are supported
• Every frame supports serial control and monitoring. A serial port is provided for direct connection to a PC. Up to four frames can be coaxially chained together for control over a single serial connection to PC
• Option to connect to Ethernet through an interface card that supports interconnectivity for up to nine frames. Frame BNC loops supported
