Model Details
Featuring simultaneous monitoring, recording, and playback, Sony's HSR2 Digital Surveillance Recorder is an essential option for high-performance, high-resolution digital video recording and archiving. The tape transport and heads of the HSR2 are stationary most of the time because the DV tape drive works only while recording the image data being transferred from the Hard Disk Drive. Therefore, the head running time of the tape mechanism is drastically reduced to 1/4 (in 24-hour recording mode using a 270 minute tape) compared with conventional equipment. Additionally, the HSR2 is networkable when used in conjunction with the optional SNTV304 Network Surveillance Server.
Features:
- DV based digital recorder offers over 500 TV lines of resolution
- Excellent S/N of 48 dB
- Large storage capacity of 60 GB using DV270 tape
- High reliability and low maintenance utilizing hybrid configuration of 20 GB hard disk and DV tape drive
- Simultaneous Monitoring, Recording and Playback
- Built-in 4 input multiplexer board
- Capability of field upgrade to 16 input utilizing 3 additional 4 input cards - HSRA-11(optional)
- 2 monitor outputs for full screen image of 1 selected camera or sequential switching of all 16
- 5 preset recording modes provide flexibility of camera assignment
- Time/Date and event search capabilities
- RS-232C Interface for communication with external equipment to facilitate machine control
- Continuous recording function while changing/rewinding tapes prevents interruption of recording
- Security functions include lock button on front panel and password capability
- Freely configurable 37-pin parallel port
- Writes to DV in case of HDD failure or vice versa
- Watermarking
- Achieves higher reliability and reduces maintenance
- Super, High, Middle, and Low modes enable the appropriate balance between picture quality and recording time to be selected depending on the application
- Using a DV cassette tape (270-minute tape) as the storage medium provides a storage capacity of more than 60 GB
- Eliminates frequent tape changes
- Records images at a high refresh rate for each camera to record key scenes
- If the HDD fails, the image data is recorded directly onto the DV tape. Conversely, in case the DV tape drive fails, recording operation continues on the HDD
